Universal Studio Singapore

Initially, we planned to celebrate Hubby's 26th birthday at the luxurious Banyan Tree Resort in Bintan.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we decided to postpone it.

And at the same time, news of the reopening (on hubby's birthday some more!!) of Battlestar Galactica at the Universal Studio Singapore reached our ears. If I can remember correctly, it was shut down barely 1 week after the soft opening 1 year ago.

Curiosity kills the cat. Oh.. make it "cats" - hubby and me! Heehee...

Hubby & Moi at the entrance of Universal Studio Singapore.

Weekday ticket price: S$66
Weekend ticket price: S$72

Universal Express: S$30

To beat the queue and not wanting to pay additional for the Universal Express pass, we decided to go on a weekday.

And it was a great choice!

We get to do all the rides in the theme park within 15 mins each. :)

1st stop: Madagascar

"Based on the hit DreamWorks Animation film, Madagascar, this zone brings you to a dense tropical jungle, filled with strange and wonderful animals like lemurs and foosas. Bird calls and monkey screeches fill the air as you journey deeper into the equatorial rain forests of this African Island."

Was looking forward to our first ride - A Crate Adventure. But it was still under renovation. Boohoohoo..

First picture with the cast of Madagascar :)

We bought the full length photo from the photo booth for keepsake. *happy*

At the Ancient Egypt

New York with Betelgeuse of Beetlejuice.

Great outfit for Halloween yeah? ;)

Hollywood with Woodpecker's gal.

Hollywood - Kungfu Panda - one of my favourite cartoon!

3 is a crowd. :P

Outside USS, there is this huge candy store where you can buy expensive chocolates and candy :)

Sherk 4D Adventure - one of my favorite ride there.

Let's put on the Ogre's green specs.

Doesn't this look familiar. Somewhere somehow you found me wearing this in one of my previous entry? Yes.. I wore them before - it was a trip to Universal Studio at LAX with the girls. :)

They have the exact same ride there too.

But somehow I prefer the Universal Studio here in Singapore. It's really clean (especially the toilets! LAX toilets is quite a nightmare to use), it's compact so you don't have to travel very far just to take a ride from a particular theme. Just imagine you have to take a 10 mins escalator ride + 20 mins of walk to the next theme.

Almost all the staffs are nice and friendly :)

One of the cleaner even volunteer to help us take a photo when she sees us struggling taking self shots of us & the background with no tripod.

So nice of her.

Please buy this S$2 raincoat if you are going to take the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure.

You will be SOAKING WET if you are the suay (unlucky) one.

We bought the raincoat because we are very kiasu.

Hubby's white shoes were soaking wet after the ride. So bring along a pair of slippers if you can :)

Help!!!

And this was the shot by the helpful staff of USS. :)

A random shot of a kid doing a "Marilyn Monroe + Michael Jackson" :)

This was one of the highlights at USS - Pantages Hollywood Theater
And they even sang "Nobody".

I want nobody nobody but CHU...

Don't forget to drop by at Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg at New York. You get to experience a major hurricane!

Walk of Fame - Audrey Hepburn + Kimmie's Onitsuka Tiger + Charles' Lacoste.

I want Candy~~

And the highlight of the day was the Battlestar Galactica. We took both the Cylon (Blue track) and Human (Red track) rides.

Battlestar Galactica CYLON
This suspended coaster goes up, around and upside down with intense corkscrews and cobra roll

Battlestar Galactica HUMAN
Zooming at speeds of 90km/h, this seated coaster narrowly avoids collisions as it twists, turns and propels you over 14 storeys into the air!

Human VS Cylon.

Cylon seems to be the scarier ride.. but Human is truly the winner! Maybe I can take the loops better than the seated rides? Hubby noticed that I screamed the loudest for the Human ride and for Cylon I didn't scream at all. Hmm~

My Top 3 rides of the day (in sequence)
1. Revenge of the Mummy
2. Battlestar Galactica Human
3. Battlestar Galactica Cylon

Renovation lobangs?

I have been browsing many local home decor magazines for the past 2 weeks. Managed to cut out some designs which I fancy. :)

Simplicity is beauty.

It will be the theme for our home.

We won't be hiring an interior designer so as to keep our renovation cost as low as possible. And we will be doing all the "shopping of materials, furnitures, fixtures" all by ourselves. So fun and exciting!

A list of things we need to get:

Fixture
• inverter air condition (Mitusbishi/Panasonic/Daikin)
• lighting - bedroom
• lighting - living room
• lighting - dining hall
• lighting - kitchen
• lighting - utility room
• toilet bowl (Toto)
• rain shower head
• wallpaper
• homogenous tiles (bathroom)
• flooring
• large mirror (living room)
• shoes cabinet
• warobe

Furniture
• sofa
• television
• dining room carpet
• living room carpet
• bedroom carpet
• PS3
• fridge
• washing machine
• dryer
• dressing table
• dining table
• bedframe

The only lobang I have from the above is the wallpaper. If you guys know any good lobang, must share with me ok ok? ;)

That's all I can think at the moment, will add on to the list as I think that there's more to add.

❤ Kimmie's Skincare

I ❤ my SK-II products alot. And I know that they don't come cheap either :(

Wonder how am I able to substain my skincare range after I quit my job to be a full-time mom next time? Hubby said he will still continue to buy for me though :P Beacause skin care was the first thing that comes to my mind if I quit. So sweet of him right?

Wanna share with you girls the wonderful SK-II products that I have been using since I were 20. Some of the products were added on throughout the years as my age is catching up with me. :)

Also, recently when people ask me how old I am. I would happily tell them that I am approaching 30s, which in fact I am in my mid 20s. 99.99% of them (with a shocking expression) said that I look like I am in my early 20s, so youthful, etc. That made me really really happy!! Ha.. Try it if you want people to say that you are younger than they think you are! Haha..

Ok ok.. I know you girls are dying to know what I have been using~ Here they are... in sequence to application.

If I am wearing sunblock with loose powder, or full makeup, I will use SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil. To me, the first step of cleansing is extremely important so I wouldn't neglect this step. As for my eyes (eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner, mascara, eyebrown powder) I will use Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover for Heavy Make-Up Sensitive Eyes.

FACIAL TREATMENT CLEANSING OIL
Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil is a 2-in-1 cleanser which removes make-up effortlessly and deep pore cleanses all in one single step. Its innovative oil-based formulation readily dissolves stubborn make-up (including sun-block and long lasting lipstick), so they can be washed off easily along with other impurities trapped deep within pores, leaving you with radiantly clean skin.

Application Guide
Use 3-4 pushes onto the palm of your dry hands and spread it over your forehead, cheeks, upper jaw, and the entire face. Work with fingers in circular motion, from inside to outside of face. Emulsify oil with a bit of warm water and rinse off.

Next, I will use SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser to remove the remaining residue. Double cleansing is important too~

FACIAL TREATMENT GENTLE CLEANSER
Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser cares for your skin while it cleanses. It contains Concentrated Pitera and Mild Treatment Essence that leaves your skin hydrated even 30 minutes after cleansing. Work up a fine-textured lather and enjoy its mild rose scent.

Application Guide
Wet the face with lukewarm water, then put 2-3 cm of Cleanser on the palm and add small amount of water. Lather well to crate gentle cleansing foam. Spread the cream foam entire face with gentle stroke from lower to upper part of face. Take best care around the nose area. Rise of with lukewarm water.

To prep my skin for absorbing all the wonderful essence of SK-II, I use Facial Treatment Clear Lotion (toner) to remove the dead skincells on the surface of my skin. Applying this product helps to prevent future spots?

FACIAL TREATMENT CLEAR LOTION
Containing AHA, this wipe-off clarifying lotion gently removes dirt and dead skin cells to allow skin nourishment. Leaving skin clean, lively and perfectly conditioned.

Application Guide
Soak a cotton pad with lotion and gently wipe over T-zone, followed by U-zone and neck. Avoid eye area.

Here is the most important part of my skincare regimen - the infamous SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. Which many women call it their "Miracle Water".

Sometimes when I know my pimple is going to guest star on my skin, I will soak a piece of cotton pad with the Facial Treatment Essence and place it over the area for approximately 10 mins. Do it for 2 days and the guest starring pimple will disappear. Yeah!

If you got sunburnt, or suffer from cold rash, u can apply the above method too :)

The smell of Facial Treatment Essence can be quite a turn off for new user. But hey! It is one of the most important step to crystal clear skin, so bear with the smell~

FACIAL TREATMENT ESSENCE
Containing more than 90% Pitera®, this much loved miracle water is a must-have for healthy, radiant skin. It helps maintain the skin's natural renewal cycle to its optimum condition to allow skin nourishment. It also works to balance the skin's pH and sebum secretion, so oily and dry areas are properly moisturised.

Application Guide
Use twice daily, morning and night. After cleansing, gently pat face and neck using a cotton pad soaked with Facial Treatment Essence. You can even use it on the eye area.

Next, is my favourite product from SK-II. The SK-II Facial Treatment Repair C. I just cannot live without it!! And this smell just as bad as the Essence, maybe 10x more! :P But it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines around my eye area. My saviour!!

My favourite serum of all time. ❤ ❤ ❤

FACIAL TREATMENT REPAIR C
This serum gently reduces the appearance of fine lines in just 2 weeks, improving skin texture so it becomes crystal clear. Its unique blend of concentrated Pitera® and nature's moisture magnets works to help maintain skin renewal to its normal 28-day cycle, leaving skin plumped with moisture and feeling velvety smooth.

Application Guide
Smooth onto face and eye areas.

Sometimes, depending on my mood, I would add on another serum. SK-II Whitening Source Derm-Definition. I don't know if this is effective or not as I don't really see that my freckles/spots significantly to rave about this.

WHITENING SOURCE DERM-DEFINITION
With regular twice daily usage, this whitening product works beneath the skin's epidermal surface to help remove dark spots. Containing DermComplex enriched with Pitera®, it gives your skin a naturally radiant and translucent appearance.

Application Guide
Use after application of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. Take a few drops from the dropper and spread evenly on entire face. You can also apply directly onto your pigmented areas.

I used to use SK-II Advance Eye Treatment Film until the launch of SK-II Signs Eye Cream. Glad that they launch this anti-aging product just in time, as the signs of aging around my eyes starts to appear slowly since flying.

Signs Eye Cream is quite rich for some people, so use it only if you need it. If you want a oil-free product, you can try the former ;)

SIGNS EYE CREAM
SK-II Signs Eye Cream with a unique blend of seven ingredients including concentrated Pitera®, revives the look of the total eye area. It works on multiple problems to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark eye circles giving you firmer, younger-looking eyes.

Application Guide
Apply twice a day. Smooth a small pearl size of Signs Eye Cream around the eye area, inclusive of the eyelids. Using ring finger, gently massage in small spiral movement until thoroughly absorbed.

Finally, the moisturizer. :) I need to use anti-aging moisturizer as my skin is rather dry.

SKIN SIGNATURE CREAM
Clinically proven to help you look up to 4 years younger in just one month, this anti-aging moisturizer helps strengthen Skin Power to give your skin total beauty through a balance of firmness, smoothness and radiance.

Application Guide
Apply twice a day. Smooth onto face and neck using spiral movement till thoroughly absorbed.

As for body, I use SK-II Body Designer. However, they don't sell this in Singapore anymore. I think not many people buy this product so P&G stop to carry this. Luckily, I stocked up a few bottle of this :) Till I finish this, I will source for other body products. I think I will go for Clarin's Body range as almost every woman who uses body products rave about it.

I don't use this product everyday.

To avoid cold rash, I will bring it along to winter countries to apply :) It helps to moisturize and keep cold rash at bay. It smells really great too! ❤

Body Designer
Firms. Smoothes. Rejuvenates with hydration. A luxurious anti-aging lotion inspired by revitalizing Japanese hot mineral springs. Infused with the "fountain of youth" - the firming Centella Asiatica plant plus vitamins, minerals and Pitera. Hydrates intensely. Massage in daily to revive youthful contours and create a relaxing feeling of well-being.

APPLICATION GUIDE
Use it on the entire body, or specific parts eg. Arms, stomach, hips, thighs as desired .Place 1-2 pumps on the palm of your hand and smooth onto the skin by gently massaging in circular upward motion on the entire area.
Use once a day and massage for just 10 minutes for a more beautiful body silhouette impression

Makeup wise - I'm not using SK-II.

Maybe I shall start soon? As I'm quite interested in the SK-II Facial Treatment Cream Foundation. Saw it in the 女人我最大 magazine. Seems good..
