Instagram on iPhone

Instagram

Meet Instagram.

It’s a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your life with friends through a series of pictures.
Snap a photo with your iPhone, choose a filter to transform the look and feel, send to Facebook, Twitter or Flickr – it’s all as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented.

I'm hooked on this app! Thanks to Joy for re-introducing me this great app. I had downloaded this a long time ago and I had no idea what all this is about so I dumped it in a small corner of my iPhone and totally ignored it until yesterday!

Ya.. Once again I am so lag behind in technology. Hahaha..

Oh ya, you may also follow me on Instagram @mmkimmie for awesome photos taken around the world :)

A sweet surprise from Hubby

After a long & torturing 12 hr flight from Frankfurt to Singapore (fyi, I didn't sleep a wink during the allocated rest.. maybe I slept too much prior to the flight), I just can't wait to take the cab straight home after touching down into Singapore. I need my bed. Sleep. Period.

Guess what..

Hubby, who was far far away in Egypt at that time, left something sweet on the bed for me.

A love note. A velvet red laptop cushion cover for my MacBook Air. On top of that he got me a voucher to claim at G-mask.

I didn't want to G-mask my laptop because I personally felt that the decal is waaaaaaay over-priced. Even though Hubby don't mind the day-light robbery price (around SGD 89), I was totally against it. Now, Hubby got me the voucher that he got on Deal.com.sg at 79% off the retail price, I really don't mind. In fact, I was damn thrilled.. Because the very last time that I had G-mask my apple product was during poly.

Hubby gift & note to me. Full of love!

Hubby saw the below decal somewhere in the cyber space and wanna get me that. He knows I am into Fairy Tales. *smiles*

Nerdy Snow White holding an Apple

The color version.

Quite cute yeah?

However G-mask doesn't carry such decals.. So I had to settle for others. And a Über colorful decal full of pokemon look-a-like characters attracted me.

Hubby said that from a far, my laptop looks kinda cute, but if u look carefully, you will feel that my laptop gives a kind of "don't touch or I will bite" vibe. Hahaha..

上海灯具城

So happy!

Managed to head out to the light market 上海灯具城 in Shanghai.

For the first time, I felt that my time there is very precious. Usually I would "hibernate", order room service, watch Chinese MTV, read my books and enjoy the awesome room in the Millenium hotel.

After arriving in Singapore, Hubby & I went to Balestier to choose the tiles for our living room, kitchen and toilet. :)

Seriously.. All the off-white, beige, white, etc tiles look the same to me :p can't tell the difference between the $2.20 psf and $4.80 psf!

Kinda excited about the house's toilet as we will be having a couple basin :)

Can't wait!

Should I or Should I Not?

iPad 2 - coming to Singapore in April

Thinner, Faster, Lighter.

Facetime, Smarter cover, 10 hrs battery time.

I am tempted to get my hand on a iPad 2. The white one with the orange polyurethane smart cover.

I have 2 more days to order it so that it will be in time to deliver to the New York hotel that I will be staying at the end of April. As the shipping will take 3-4 weeks, no stock in their retail store.

USD499 for only the Wi-Fi is very expensive. If I were to get the Wi-Fi  + 3G, is another USD130 more.

Gadgets are my weakness. Should I? or Should I not? Tough call. If I don't have my house.. I would have got it without batting an eyelid. Grrrr....

TVs, Fridges, Washing Machines...

Made a trip down to Gain City Marina Square with a long list of items to see and enquire yesterday.

  • Television
  • Front Load washer/dryer
  • Fridge
  • Stove
  • Air-condition
  • Oven

There are soooo many to choose from and it's giving me a huge headache as I can't differentiate which will be the better choice for us to get.

Luckily, the sales person Andy, gave me a lot of useful information on the products that I am keen to know more about.

Still, it's not easy to choose within a wide range of "everything-seems-good" products.

Just take air-condition for example.

We need inverter air-condition, 4 Ticks Distinction Energy Saving Labels

We have Mitsubushi $2869, Panasonic $2799, Toshiba (the only JAPAN made) $2989, Sharp $2679 and Daikin $2940 to choose from.

Mitsubushi, Panasonic (new sleek model.. just came in 3-4 months ago) and Daikin is the top 3 choices to me.

And it isn't easy to choose between the 3. Grrr..

For television.. we should get the LED as it's more energy saving and it doesn't produce too much heat when you are sitting in front of one large television.

Should I spend $1,999 (usual price $3,999) for a 40-inch Samsung Series 7 3D LED  TV?

Or just get a regular $1,299 LG 42-inch Full HD LED TV?

If I were to get the one with 3D, the games I play on PS3 (yes, I need to buy that too.. for the Guitar Heroes set that is collecting dust at one corner of the house) will look great!

On top of that, I will need a sound bar too.

Should I get one with a integrated blu  ray player from Samsung which will set me back at $1329, or get them separated which will take up more space but is cheaper?
As for stove.. should I get the cheaper and prettier glass stove or the practical stainless steel and cost double one?

Front Loader washer/dryer - LG or Samsung? Both cost $1,000+ too..

It seems that Andy been promoting Samsung to me. :P

Hey, where is all the Japanese products?
