A sweet surprise from Hubby

After a long & torturing 12 hr flight from Frankfurt to Singapore (fyi, I didn't sleep a wink during the allocated rest.. maybe I slept too much prior to the flight), I just can't wait to take the cab straight home after touching down into Singapore. I need my bed. Sleep. Period.

Guess what..

Hubby, who was far far away in Egypt at that time, left something sweet on the bed for me.

A love note. A velvet red laptop cushion cover for my MacBook Air. On top of that he got me a voucher to claim at G-mask.

I didn't want to G-mask my laptop because I personally felt that the decal is waaaaaaay over-priced. Even though Hubby don't mind the day-light robbery price (around SGD 89), I was totally against it. Now, Hubby got me the voucher that he got on Deal.com.sg at 79% off the retail price, I really don't mind. In fact, I was damn thrilled.. Because the very last time that I had G-mask my apple product was during poly.

Hubby gift & note to me. Full of love!

Hubby saw the below decal somewhere in the cyber space and wanna get me that. He knows I am into Fairy Tales. *smiles*

Nerdy Snow White holding an Apple

The color version.

Quite cute yeah?

However G-mask doesn't carry such decals.. So I had to settle for others. And a Über colorful decal full of pokemon look-a-like characters attracted me.

Hubby said that from a far, my laptop looks kinda cute, but if u look carefully, you will feel that my laptop gives a kind of "don't touch or I will bite" vibe. Hahaha..

Hair Transplantation

Since young, my forehead has been kinda high. It doesn't really bother me that much until recently.. I discovered that the hairline of my both temples has been receding. GOSH!! Too much of hairspray and hair buns.

After seeing a successful real life example of my relative in his 50s, I am tempted to go for a hair transplantation in Bangkok too!

I am planning to do so next year around June. Gotta save some lots of dough for it.

Information on Hair Transplantation:

All surgical forms of hair replacement involve transplanting a patient’s own hair from one portion of the scalp to another.

Less extensive baldness is commonly treated with hair transplants and has evolved from the visible plug transplants to what is called micro transplantation, in which tiny grafts of one to three hair follicles are moved from thick growth areas on the sides or back of the head to thinned areas in front or on top of the head. Micro transplants are performed with local anesthesia, with or without sedation, in an office setting. Because the procedure is tedious, multiple sessions over many months or years may be required. Some physicians specialize in hair transplantation and have developed an extremely streamlined, labor-intensive process in which up to several thousand grafts can be transplanted per “megasession.” Successful hair transplants tend to be stable and long lasting. Even though microtransplated hairs fall out shortly after surgery, most will regrow.

The best candidates for hair transplantation are patients with thick, healthy hair growth along the sides and back of the scalp, the prime donor areas. Patients with extreme baldness and very little donor hair are much less likely to have a natural looking result, no matter what procedure is performed, and most prospective patients in this category should be discouraged from undergoing surgical hair transplantation.

Complications of hair transplantation procedures are low. Major flap operations have higher risks, scarring may be visible, and additional procedures are often necessary. After micro transplantation some hairs will not survive, requiring additional sessions to achieve the desired effect. The characteristics of a transplanted hair may not be the same as the original hair, and original hairs in a balding area may continue to thin out over time.

The bottom line: Hair transplant techniques have improved dramatically, but in order to get a good result, most patients still need to submit to multiple tedious procedures over a long time period at significant expense.

Material vs Love

Just moments ago, a leading steward was sharing with us about his stint at the orphanage and old folks' home. A topic that I am always interested in.

I had been to an orphanage once during secondary school and the old folk's home during my cabin crew foundation. That's all I had done physically for the society :(

Actually, a small part of me would like to overseas to help build a school, home, etc..  However, there are many personal limitations that refrained me from participating.

Well, back to the leading steward... He told us that if we were to donate to the orphanage, it was wise to call them to ask what they need (besides cash). As one of the orphanage he went to help out has a storage room full of toys which the children doesn't play with anymore.

He mentioned that the children would like things more practical to use in school. For example, red/black/blue/green pens, correction tapes, pencil case, bags.. And for the girls' home - toiletries.

Since Christmas is around the corner.. Shall I do something about it? :)

Maybe I should forgo my Louis Vuitton in exchange for something more priceless?

Greetings from Frankfurt

Hello People,

I am now in Frankfurt.. It's getting colder now. And yes.. I am heading to New York in 2 days time. Can't wait to eat the Shake Shack burger again~!

Oh ya.. thanks to my brother Keith, he gave me the MacBook Air. It's my very first Mac after soooooo many years. I remember during my secondary school days, we had the iconic iMac for awhile but the interface was so different compared to now.

Trying my best to get use to it.

p/s don't really like the razor sharp edges. it seems like if I weren't careful, i might get a cut or something.

Castles & KING - Munich

woohoo.. my first time to Munich. Don't know what to expect here. When someone suggested castle tour, I was thrilled!

Neuschwanstein Castle - taken from Wikipedia

Really resemble Disney Castles right?

Actually Sleeping Beauty's castle was said to be inspired by this.

So.. this was one of the castle that we visited. Uber majestic right? We paid €40 for Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Royal Castles tour. Money well spent!

First stop: Linderhof - a French rococo-style castle known for its fantastic grotto and Moorish pavilion.

my set of crew.. already missing them..

one of King Ludwig II's castle

The entrance to the castle.

i kinda like this manly statue ❤

Photo-taking in the cosy little castle is not allowed. Boohoohoo..

Though I was amazed by almost every corner of the castle, but was gutless to secretly take any photos with my loud shutter Olympus Pen camera.

Weeee~!!!

In the garden.

FO Dex just love to claim that he is the rose among the thorns. *roll eyes*

Next: A Bavaria village nearby to buy souvenir.

Final stop and the highlight of the trip: Neuschwanstein

"the enchanting old-world town of Fussen lies in the foot hills of the Apls, framed by one of the most breathtaking natural settings in the world, the fabulous and ethereal Neuschwanstein Castle. Towering far above the village, seemingly sculpted out of the very mountains that rise magnificently to the heavens, is a sight made from the stuff of dreams.

This glorious folly was built in the 19th century by the famed "mad" King Ludwig II, a man intoxicated by mythology and who himself became a legend. The shimmering white towers of the castle among the clouds are instantly recognizable to many who haven't ever heard the name Neuschwanstein. It is the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle."

quoted from munich-tours.net

If you feel kinda lazy, you might want to consider taking the horse carriage up to the castle.

Else, be like us..  walked about 40 mins up the hill.

Shaggy dogs. So cute!!

Almost there..

Again, no photography is allowed in the castle..

You just have to be there! :)

See that bridge in-between the cliffs?

We were told that it was the spot to take magnificent photo of the entire castle.

Awww.. I love this little boy. So cute right!

And boy, his dad is cuter can!
